Renewable Energy Panel – October 2023

Mines, in collaboration with WRISE and WISEM, held a panel on jobs in renewable energy on 12 October. Over 50 people attended the event. The panel lineup included women leaders in industry, NGOs, a solar trade association, NREL, environmental justice for the Colorado Energy Office, and the Colorado Public Utility Commission. Their backgrounds included physical sciences, social sciences, humanities, management, and engineering. There was a lively discussion about the importance of policy for the energy transition and the communication skills for scientists and engineers.
