Cortney HollesCortney got her master’s degree in English in 2003 and has been teaching composition and academic writing ever since. She came to Mines in the Fall of 2004 and has enjoyed working with Mines students to improve their communication skills and explore the impacts of the natural world on human behavior and society. Her research and teaching interests are Curriculum Development, Critical Reading and Thinking, Interdisciplinary Communication, Digital Technology and Education, and Science Communication and Society. She lives in the Denver metro area with her husband, daughter and son and spends free time reading, gardening, or gathering to eat with friends and family.
